None of the broken bones are reportedly displaced, and Rodgers believes the current pain tolerance isn't an issue. Steelers players are impressed with Rodgers' ability to fight through the injury, Rapoport adds.

Toronto won in regulation for the first time since Nov. 5. It improved to 3-6-2 in its last 11 games.

Are the Vikings a bust?

Two years ago the Minnesota Vikings embarked on a bold, unusual plan to build a championship contender.

They had a bunch of pieces already in place: A creative offensive mind in head coach Kevin O'Connell, an all-world receiver in Justin Jefferson, and plenty of quality veterans on both sides of the ball.

They decided to part ways with quarterback Kirk Cousins, which was not the surprising part. Coming off a season-ending Achilles injury at 35, and after six years in which he had won exactly one playoff game, Cousins had reached a natural endpoint in Minnesota.

What’s the deal with the Edmonton Oilers?

"It's very concerning," Draisaitl said when asked about the Oilers' defensive troubles. "Everything's very concerning, though. We're nearly 30 games in, and still don't seem to have it down or know what we are. I don't really know what to say. It's just not good enough right now."

Jesper Wallstedt had been brilliant for Wild

The Minnesota Wild made a long-anticipated changing of the guard in goal entering this season, following the retirement of the revered Marc-Andre Fleury and his second-most wins in NHL history.

The transition to Jesper Wallstedt as the backup to Filip Gustavsson has gone better than even the Wild could have envisioned. With a league-leading three shutouts over his last four starts, Wallstedt has played like he's ready to be an equal part of an all-Swedish goaltending tandem on a team contending for the playoffs rather than just a rookie being eased into action.

With a 1.94 goals against average and a .935 save percentage, Wallstedt is in the top three in the NHL, depending on where the playing-time minimums are drawn. He's 6-0-2 in eight starts, becoming the fourth-youngest goalie in league history to start a season with an eight-game point streak.

I want to personally apologize to everyone within the Pittsburgh Steelers organization. I let my emotions in the moment get the better of me. I can only hope and trust you know none of it represents who I am - not as a competitor, teammate, or person.

"I also want to apologize to my coaches, teammates, and organization for not meeting my own standards as a leader of this team. This has been a tough season with some incredibly hard losses. We've all been frustrated. But instead of stepping up with calm, class, and leadership, I let you down. My having to sit out yesterday's game makes my actions even more inexcusable."

Washington Wizards guard Tre Johnson sustained a strained hip flexor that will sideline him for the near future, head coach Brian Keefe said Monday, according to The Athletic's Josh Robbins.

"We'll know more here in a couple of weeks, but he's had a good start to the season for a guy who was playing through a lot of pain, averaging almost 12 points a game and close to 40% from three," Keefe said.

Keefe didn't go into detail about the recovery timeline for Johnson, citing team policy. Similar injuries typically keep players out of action for two-to-four weeks, according to Robbins.

Japanese free-agent pitcher Tatsuya Imai would rather be a part of a team that beats the Los Angeles Dodgers than join countrymen Shohei OhtaniYoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki as a member of the reigning World Series champions.

"Of course, I'd enjoy playing alongside Ohtani, Yamamoto, and Sasaki," Imai told Daisuke Matsuzaka on "Hodo Station," according to MLB.com's Michael Clair, "but winning against a team like that and becoming a world champion would be the most valuable thing in my life. If anything, I'd rather take them down."
