New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu's season debut will be delayed a bit longer, as an MRI revealed a non-displaced fracture in his right foot, manager Aaron Boone said Saturday, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.
LeMahieu will undergo more imaging in two weeks.
The 35-year-old hasn't played since fouling a ball off his foot in a Grapefruit League game on March 16. New York called his injury a right foot contusion when he was placed on the injured list before the regular season began and only discovered the fracture once the swelling in his foot went down.
