Senators looking at Mason McTavish

Anahiem Ducks center Mason McTavish has emerged as a potential trade target for the Ottawa Senators.

The Senators have been eyeing a top-six forward to partner with center Tim Stutzle a source told Garrioch. Though McTavish is a center, he is capable of playing on the wing.

It's believed the Ducks' asking price for McTavish involves a first-round pick and an immediate contributor, Garrioch adds. The Philadelphia Flyers and Montreal Canadiens are among the other teams that reportedly could show interest.

Dennis Hull passes away at 81

Dennis Hull, the two-way NHL forward who starred alongside superstar brother Bobby Hull with the Chicago Blackhawks and helped Canada win the 1972 Summit Series, died Saturday. He was 81.

Nephew Bart Hull confirmed Hull's death on social media, and the Blackhawks announced the death with a statement from owner Rocky Wirtz. No other details were available.

Spurs eliminate Thunder

Claude Lemieux passes away at 60

Claude Lemieux, a four-time Stanley Cup champion whose hockey career was built on playing on the edge with ferocity and physicality, has died. He was 60.

The NHL Alumni Association announced Lemieux’s death in a post on social media. A cause of death was not immediately available, nor was it clear where Lemieux was when he died.

Lemieux on Monday night was the Montreal Canadiens’ torch bearer prior to Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final at Bell Centre.

Morgan Rielly to explore trade options

Penguins sign Malkin for one more season

Sabres sign Ruff for 2 year extension

His current deal was set to expire this summer, but he's now locked in through the 2027-28 season.
