The Pittsburgh Penguins signed forward Evgeni Malkin to a one-year contract extension with an average annual value of $5.5 million, the team announced Tuesday.
Malkin's extension also includes $500,000 in bonuses for games played, $1 million if Pittsburgh makes the playoffs, and $500,000 for each round the team wins.
