Jon Rahm wins The Masters

A week that started with a four-putt double-bogey ended in a green jacket for Jon Rahm, as the Spanish superstar used a Sunday charge to pull away from Brooks Koepka and the field to win the Masters.

Rahm entered the final round two shots behind Koepka but fired a final-round 3-under 69 to erase the deficit and cruise to a four-shot victory. Koepka faltered over the final day, shooting a 3-over 75 to finish tied for second.

Phil Mickelson turned back the clock with an epic run up the leaderboard to sit beside Koepka after a closing 65. In doing so, the 52-year-old became the oldest player in Masters history to finish in the top five.

A second-nine 38 on Sunday morning cut Brooks Koepka's four-shot lead over Jon Rahm to two heading to the final round of the Masters at Augusta National.

Koepka bogeyed the 12th and three-putted the 17th for a second blemish on his closing stretch, finishing his third round with a 1-over 73. Rahm made birdies on No. 7 and No. 8 to begin play for the day, but he also struggled on the closing stretch.

The lack of scoring by the lead group opened the door for a charge from Viktor Hovland, as the Norwegian made five birdies in a row on the second nine to sit alone in third just three shots off the pace.

Tiger Woods withdraws from Masters due to injury

Tiger Woods pulled out of the Masters due to injury prior to the resumption of Round 3 on Sunday at Augusta National.

Woods, who didn't finish his second round until Saturday morning due to thunderstorms Friday, made the cut on the 3-over number to tie the record of 23 straight cuts at the event.

He started his third round at the No. 10 tee just after 1 p.m. ET. Woods withdrew from the tournament while on the 17th hole at 9-over.

Titans sign Jeffery Simmons 4 Year $94M

The Tennessee Titans and star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons agreed to a four-year, $94-million contract extension, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Simmons' new deal will guarantee him $66 million, adds Rapoport.

This makes Simmons the second-highest-paid defensive tackle in the NFL, only behind Aaron Donald.

Tyreek Hill looking forward to playing Chiefs in 2023

Tyreek Hill can't wait to play his revenge game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver said he'll make his former team pay when they face off at Arrowhead Stadium in 2023.

"Chiefs Kingdom, when the Miami Dolphins come to Arrowhead Stadium this year, guess what we (are) going to do?" Hill said in a video shared by his athletic brand Soul Runner on Twitter. "I hate to throw up the peace sign against y'all, I hate to do it. But guess what? I'm gonna be y'all's worst enemy that day.

Tiger Woods struggles at The Masters

For a long stretch of his opening round at the Masters, Tiger Woods looked like a man who had only played four competitive rounds of golf in the last eight months.

Woods posted his highest opening score at Augusta National since 2005, finishing 2-over 74. 

He sat at 3-over after No. 14, 10 strokes back of the leader and his playing partner, Viktor Hovland. Woods briefly battled back with a curling birdie on the par-5 15th and a brilliant tee shot on the par-3 16th to pour in a second straight. However, he finished with a bogey on the 18th.

Seattle Kraken clinch playoffs

The Kraken booked their ticket to the postseason with a 4-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday night, giving them 96 points on the season.

Jared McCann started things off with his 38th goal of the year and added two assists for the Kraken. Jordan Eberle also had a goal and a pair of assists, while rookie Matty Beniers chipped in a goal and assist of his own. Vince Dunn rounded out the scoring for Seattle with his 14th tally of the season. Philipp Grubauer stopped 27 shots to earn the win.

Baltimore Ravens offer contract to Beckham Jr.

Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has at least one offer on the table.

The Baltimore Ravens presented the three-time Pro Bowl receiver with a contract, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The two sides spent time together during the league's owners meeting in Phoenix last week.

Baltimore has been searching for a true No. 1 wideout to pair with former MVP Lamar Jackson. Despite Jackson's request for a trade, the franchise remains optimistic it can keep the star signal-caller.

Bob Knight released from hospital

Former Indiana Hoosiers coach Bob Knight was released from a hospital in Bloomington, Indiana, and returned home after being admitted with an illness over the weekend, his son said Monday.

"On behalf of the Knight Family, we thank you for your thoughts and prayers. As many have heard, my dad was hospitalized over the weekend with an illness and has since been released from the hospital," according to a statement from Pat Knight posted online. "We ask for your privacy as he is cared for and resting at home in good hands."

An email from the university about Knight's health was sent to former Indiana basketball players on Friday, asking for prayers and saying Knight hoped to return home soon after being hospitalized with an undisclosed illness.

Anthony Rendon 5 Game Suspension - GOOF

Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon received a five-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for an incident with a fan during a game against the Oakland Athletics on Opening Day, MLB announced Monday.

Rendon grabbed the shirt of a spectator in the stands during a heated argument last Thursday.

The Angels said the former All-Star will appeal his ban, which means he's eligible to play Monday against the Seattle Mariners, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com.
