The Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts agreed to a five-year extension that keeps the quarterback under contract through the 2028 season, the team announced Monday.
Hurts' new five-year deal is worth $255 million and will make him the highest-paid player in NFL history, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. The contract also includes just over $179 million in guarantees and a no-trade clause, Rapoport adds.
The Calgary Flames and general manager Brad Treliving have agreed to end his tenure, the club announced Monday.
Don Maloney will take over as president of hockey operations and interim GM. The 64-year-old had been the team's senior vice president of hockey operations.
Treliving's contract expires June 30. The Flames hired the 53-year-old in April 2014. He was the assistant GM of the Arizona Coyotes under Maloney, who Treliving later hired to the Flames' front office as a pro scout.

After a "difficult conversation," the Chicago Blackhawks decided against re-signing longtime captain and pending unrestricted free agent Jonathan Toews in the summer, general manager Kyle Davidson announced Thursday.
Thursday's clash against the Philadelphia Flyers at the United Center will mark Toews' final contest wearing a Blackhawks sweater.
"He's done it all, and he's done it all in a Blackhawks jersey," Davidson told reporters shortly after making the announcement, per NBC Sports Chicago. "We can't thank him enough for everything he's done.
"The Blackhawks organization - and I think the city of Chicago - will be forever indebted to him for the amazing ride that he took us on. ... He'll be a Blackhawk forever."
Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon cited "a lot of stuff that's happened over the last (three) years" as a potential contributing factor to his altercation with a fan on Opening Day.
"It just got to me, for whatever reason," Rendon told the Los Angeles Times' Jorge Castillo. "I don't know. Whether it's just the grind of the last handful of years, just being through so much stuff. I don't know."
Rendon grabbed an Oakland Athletics fan by their shirt during an argument on Opening Day. He was suspended four games for the incident.
The third baseman has undergone two major surgeries since signing a seven-year, $245-million contract with the Angels before the 2020 season. He played a total of 162 games during that span.
Rendon and his wife also have four children under the age of five.
"It just compounded one way or another," Rendon said. "I was actually talking to my wife about it. Like, 'Man, we've been through a lot of crap.' I'm one to hold it in, and maybe that was the moment that made me explode for whatever reason, and it sucks."
Rendon said he and the fan have since apologized to each other.
Bo Horvat apologized for ruffling the feathers of his former team's fan base with his postgame comments on Saturday.
Horvat raised eyebrows when he said the excitement of participating in the New York Islanders' push for the playoffs was "a lot better than Vancouver."
"I wasn't obviously expecting that," the former Canuck said Monday, per The Athletic's Kevin Kurz. "It was kind of a heat of the moment thing. I didn't mean any disrespect to the fans of Vancouver or my teammates or (the) city of Vancouver at all. It wasn't directed at them at all. The (Islanders) fans were all excited, and I was excited to be in a playoff push. It was just kind of one of those things where my emotions got the best of me.
