Rangers even the series 2-2
The New York Rangers got the kind of strong, all-around effort from the start they needed and stormed past the Carolina Hurricanes.
Andrew Copp had a goal and two assists, and Frank Vatrano and Adam Fox each had a goal and an assist as the Rangers beat the Hurricanes 4-1 in Game 4 Tuesday night, evening the second-round series.
Oilers take 3-1 Series lead
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored his second goal of the game with 3:27 left in regulation, and the Edmonton Oilers beat the Calgary Flames 5-3 on Tuesday night to take a 3-1 lead in the second-round playoff series.
Evander Kane scored his NHL-leading 11th and 12th goals of the postseason, and Zach Hyman added a goal for Edmonton. Leon Draisaitl added two assists and Mike Smith made 29 saves.

Josh Donaldson suspended
Major League Baseball suspended New York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson one game for inappropriate comments directed toward Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson on Saturday, the league announced Monday.
Donaldson also received an undisclosed fine and will appeal the suspension.
Chapman lands on the DL
The New York Yankees placed left-hander Aroldis Chapman on the 15-day injured list with left Achilles tendinitis, the team announced Tuesday.
The closer last appeared in Sunday's game, allowing a go-ahead home run to Chicago White Sox outfielder AJ Pollock during a sloppy inning of relief that also included a walk, a hit by pitch, a passed ball, and a double.
Chris Tanev returns for Game 4
The Calgary Flames got key defenseman Chris Tanev back for Game 4 against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night.
Tanev hadn't played since sustaining an injury in Game 6 of the Flames' first-round matchup against the Dallas Stars.
