The Philadelphia Flyers are close to signing goaltender Dan Vladar to a five-year extension with a $5.5-million cap hit.
Vladar is under contract through next season at a $3.35-million cap hit and can't officially ink his new deal until July 1.
The 28-year-old posted a .906 save percentage and a 2.42 goals-against average in a career-high 52 games in his first season with the Flyers. Vladar started all 10 of Philadelphia's playoff contests and had a .922 save percentage with a 2.18 GAA.
