The Detroit Tigers and shortstop McGonigle agreed to an eight-year contract extension that starts in 2027 and goes through 2034, the club announced Wednesday.
McGonigle's new deal is worth $150 million. The contract reportedly includes a $14-million signing bonus and performance escalators.
