With no contract extension in place deep into the offseason, Connor McDavid affirmed his desire to win a Stanley Cup with Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.
"Take my time and go through everything. I have every intention to win in Edmonton," McDavid told media during Canada's Olympic orientation camp, including TSN.
"It's my only focus. It would be nice to win a gold medal with Canada, but it is my intention to win there (in Edmonton)."
Texas Rangers right-hander Nathan Eovaldi is likely out for the remainder of the season due to a rotator cuff strain, president of baseball operations Chris Young announced Tuesday, according to Abby Jones of DLLS Sports.

Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Jesús Luzardo was ejected from Tuesday's game against the New York Mets as he walked off the mound in the fifth inning.
Luzardo was removed from the contest by manager Rob Thomson before directing his displeasure at home plate umpire Willie Traynor while walking toward the dugout.
The southpaw threw two close pitches to Starling Marte in an at-bat that resulted in a walk prior to his ejection.
"I'm not really an emotional guy," Luzardo said after the game, according to Anthony SanFilippo of On Pattison.
"Pretty calm out there for the most part, just when I think something's not fair, I'll make sure to stick up for it."
The Phillies were ahead 2-1 when Luzardo exited the game. The Mets wound up scoring five runs in the fifth, with four of the runs being charged to the left-hander. New York ended up winning the game 6-5.

The Minnesota Vikings have worked out a trade with the Carolina Panthers to reunite with wide receiver Adam Thielen, the teams announced Wednesday.
