Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette will be sidelined for the rest of the regular season while recovering from a left knee sprain, manager John Schneider said Tuesday, according to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com.
However, the Blue Jays are focused on getting Bichette back for the playoffs.
Schneider added that the second opinion on Bichette's injured PCL was a positive one, as he'll only need rest and rehabilitation to recover, according to Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet. The two-time All-Star could resume baseball activities later this week.
