Los Angeles clinched its 13th straight postseason appearance Friday by virtue of the Arizona Diamondbacks' 8-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies at Chase Field. The Dodgers clinched while in the midst of playing the San Francisco Giants at Chavez Ravine.
The Dodgers' current run is now tied with the 1995-2007 New York Yankees for the second-longest streak of consecutive playoff berths in MLB history. Only the 1991-2005 Atlanta Braves had a longer streak.
