Pittsburgh fans chant Fire Tomlin

Pittsburgh Steelers fans at Acrisure Stadium chanted for Mike Tomlin to be fired during Sunday's 26-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills, an unusual moment for the NFL's longest-tenured head coach who's never had a losing season.

Tomlin said postgame that he understands the fans' disappointment after the team's second straight loss and third defeat in the past four games.

"I share their frustrations tonight. We didn't do enough. That's just the reality of it," Tomlin said, according to Christopher Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Adam Fox out with shoulder injury

The New York Rangers placed star defenseman Adam Fox on long-term injured reserve with an upper-body injury on Sunday.

Fox is considered week-to-week due to a left shoulder issue and will be reevaluated around Christmas, reports Vincent Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic.

The 27-year-old sustained the injury when Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brandon Hagel hit him into the boards Saturday.

Los Angeles Lakers are heating up

Luka Doncic scored 20 of his 34 points in the first quarter and the Los Angeles Lakers raced to their seventh straight victory, 133-121 over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night.

Doncic also had 12 rebounds and seven assists to help the Lakers win for the 13th time in 15 games. Austin Reaves added 33 points and eight assists, Deandre Ayton had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Rui Hachimura scored 14 points.

Oklahoma City Thunder keep winning

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 26 points, Chet Holmgren had 19 points and nine rebounds, and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Portland Trail Blazers 123-115 on Sunday night for their 12th straight victory.

The Thunder move to 20-1 with the win, their only loss coming against the Trail Blazers on Nov. 5.

In his second game back from wrist surgery, Jalen Williams had 16 points and eight rebounds in 34 minutes.

LSU signs Lane Kiffin as new Head Coach

LSU signed Lane Kiffin to a seven-year, $91-million contract to become its new head coach, according to a copy of the term sheet obtained by The Advocate's Wilson Alexander.

The reported deal would place Kiffin among the highest-paid coaches in college football with an annual salary of $13 million. Georgia's Kirby Smart leads the country with a $13.28 million salary in 2025, per USA Today.

If Kiffin wins a national championship at LSU, his annual compensation will increase to make him the nation's highest-paid college coach, Alexander adds. The term sheet also stipulates that the school will owe Kiffin 80% of his remaining salary if it fires him without cause, payable in monthly installments through the remainder of the pact.

Kentucky fires head coach Mark Stoops

Kentucky fired head coach Mark Stoops on Monday, completing a move that was initially reported to be in motion one day earlier.

"I want to thank Mark for his dedication and leadership over the past 13 years, and as importantly, the friendship that is marked by walking these journeys together," athletic director Mitch Barnhart said in a statement. "His tenure transformed the program and reset expectations. His time here was filled with memorable victories, a historic run of consecutive bowl appearances, and a commitment to developing young men both on and off the field."

Stoops - who'd been with the Wildcats since 2013 - went 5-7 in 2025, up from 4-8 in '24. However, Kentucky's season ended with two straight losses, including a 41-0 defeat to rival Louisville on Saturday. The Wildcats ranked a paltry 102nd in points per game this year.
