Austin Reaves out with calf strain

Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 calf strain in his left leg and will be re-evaluated in four weeks, the team announced.

Reaves exited the first half of Los Angeles' Christmas Day loss to the Houston Rockets and didn't return. The 27-year-old finished the game with 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting. He underwent an MRI on Friday to gather the severity of the ailment.

"Austin clearly felt something," Lakers head coach JJ Redick said after the game, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "We did our normal halftime, and then as we were walking out of the locker room, (Lakers director of player performance and health) Dr. (LeRoy) Sims told me he was out."
