The Texas Rangers found their new catcher.
Danny Jansen agreed to a two-year, $14.5-million contract with the Rangers on Friday, sources told Robert Murray of FanSided.
The 30-year-old will replace Jonah Heim, who was non-tendered by the club last month, and share time behind the plate with Kyle Higashioka. Jansen's played in at least 100 games in a season just once in his eight-year career, back in 2019.
