Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs is joining the Green Bay Packers, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Green Bay reportedly claimed Diggs off waivers after the Dallas Cowboys released him Tuesday. Drafted by the Cowboys in the second round in 2020, the 27-year-old spent the past six seasons in Dallas.
The split between Diggs and the Cowboys caught many around the league off guard. The talented defensive back developed into one of Dallas' most reliable playmakers in the secondary during the early portion of his tenure. Diggs earned his first Pro Bowl nod and was named an All-Pro after leading the league with 11 interceptions in 2021.
