Eugenio Suárez is heading back to Seattle.
The Mariners are finalizing a trade to acquire the All-Star third baseman from the Arizona Diamondbacks, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.
Arizona is receiving first base prospect Tyler Locklear, along with right-handed pitching prospects Hunter Cranton and Juan Burgos in return, a source told Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. All three players are ranked among the Mariners' top 30 prospects by MLB.com.
Suárez played for the Mariners from 2022-23 before being traded to Arizona for Carlos Vargas and Seby Zavala.
