The New York Yankees are finalizing a trade to acquire closer David Bednar from the Pittsburgh Pirates, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.
Pittsburgh will receive catching prospect Rafael Flores and two other prospects, according to MLB.com's Alex Stumpf.
Bednar, a two-time All-Star, owns a 2.37 ERA with 17 saves in 38 innings for the Pirates this season.
