Boston Red Sox right-hander Tanner Houck will undergo Tommy John surgery, manager Alex Cora said Saturday, according to MassLive's Chris Cotillo.
Houck hasn't pitched since May 12 and was recently moved to the 60-day injured list due to a right flexor pronator strain.
The 29-year-old owned an 8.04 ERA and 6.12 FIP in nine starts this season. He made his first All-Star team in 2024 when he posted a 3.12 ERA in a career-high 178 2/3 innings.
