Nashville Predators center Ryan O'Reilly offered an extremely harsh self-assessment following the team's 3-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.
"For myself, No. 1 center, just turning the puck over. Can't make a six-foot pass to save my life. Not going to have much success if I'm playing pathetic like that," O'Reilly told reporters postgame, including The Tennessean's Alex Daugherty. "I don't know the answer. I've had one good year in my career."
O'Reilly scored Nashville's only goal in the game. The only goal against he was on the ice for was Philadelphia's empty-netter in the waning minutes. He whacked his stick off the side of the post afterward.
