The Las Vegas Raiders are trading quarterback Geno Smith and a seventh-round pick to the New York Jets in exchange for a sixth-round selection.
Smith, who was expected to be released this offseason, began his NFL career with the Jets as a second-round pick in 2013. He started 30 games but failed to establish himself as the team's long-term starter, ultimately leaving the club during the 2017 offseason.
