The Chicago Blackhawks are reuniting with veteran forward Patrick Kane on a two-year deal carrying an average annual value of $8 million, the team announced Thursday. The contract includes a full no-movement clause.
Kane was an unrestricted free agent after spending three years with the Detroit Red Wings. He signed one-year deals for each season, and his highest annual cap hit in Hockeytown was $4 million.
