The St. Louis Blues signed defenseman Philip Broberg to a six-year extension with an average annual value of $8 million, the team announced Saturday.
The 24-year-old was scheduled to be a restricted free agent at the end of the campaign.
Broberg, who was chosen to represent Sweden at the 2026 Olympics, has established himself as a key piece of the present and future for the Blues. He leads the team in average time on ice this season despite being their second-youngest everyday defenseman.
