Red Wings are shopping at deadline

The Detroit Red Wings are hoping to add a second-line center and a right-handed defenseman before the March 6 trade deadline, TSN's Darren Dreger reported on Tuesday's edition of "Insider Trading."

The Red Wings are targeting players with term remaining on their contracts, as they're not interested in rentals, adds Dreger.

Looking to end a nine-year playoff drought, Detroit sits second in the Atlantic Division with a 32-16-5 record this season. The team's been hot lately, going 8-1-1 in its last 10 games.
