Cody Bellinger rejected Yankee offer

The New York Yankees and outfielder Cody Bellinger continue to discuss a contract after negotiations appeared to stall, reports Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

The free agent's camp balked at the Yankees' offer of a five-year deal worth around $155 million, Heyman reports, and both sides will seek alternatives while continuing to negotiate. Bellinger is reportedly seeking a seven-year agreement and has interest from the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, San Francisco Giants, and Toronto Blue Jays.

The Yankees are considering free agents Bo Bichette and Kyle Tucker as Bellinger alternatives while also discussing trades for at least four other position players, Heyman reports.
