The Toronto Blue Jays removed outfielder Anthony Santander from their postseason roster Thursday with Major League Baseball's approval.
Santander is now ineligible to play in the World Series. He was replaced by Joey Loperfido, who's eligible to play Game 4 and the remainder of the ALCS.
The 30-year-old Santander has been dealing with lumbar spine inflammation throughout the postseason and wasn't included in the Blue Jays' starting lineup for Game 4.
