The Baltimore Orioles have expressed interest in Albert Pujols for their managerial opening and are expected to interview him, sources told ESPN's Alden Gonzalez and Jeff Passan.
Orioles president of baseball operations Mike Elias is familiar with Pujols after working as a scout for the St. Louis Cardinals while the former three-time MVP played for them. Pujols also maintains a relationship with Matt Holliday, the father of Orioles second baseman Jackson Holliday.
The 11-time All-Star interviewed with the Los Angeles Angels for the same role last Thursday and is still being considered for the position, according to Gonzalez and Passan.
