Atlanta Hawks focus on Anthony Davis

The Atlanta Hawks have shifted their focus to Dallas Mavericks veteran Anthony Davis following Wednesday's trade of Trae Youngto the Washington Wizards, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Trading Young has given the Hawks the financial flexibility to take on Davis' contract, Charania adds. However, Atlanta could face challenges in matching salary and would likely need to include Kristaps Porzingis and Luke Kennard in a potential deal for the 32-year-old.

Davis will make $58.5 million next season in the final year of a three-year, $175.4-million contract, which includes a $62.8-million player option for the 2027-28 campaign.
