Washington Wizards star forward Anthony Davis is expected to miss the rest of the season in order to make a full recovery for 2026-27, sources told Prime Video's Chris Haynes.
The Wizards acquired Davis in a blockbuster deal with the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. They also landed Jaden Hardy, D'Angelo Russell, and Dante Exum while sending Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, Marvin Bagley III, a pair of first-round picks, and three second-rounders to Dallas.
Davis, a 10-time All-Star, has not played since Jan. 8 due to a hand injury. A calf strain also forced him to miss a month earlier this season with the Mavericks.
