Carolina Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis is replacing the injured Brayden Point on Canada's Olympic roster, the team announced Thursday.
Point has missed 10 consecutive games due to unspecified injury. He was initially given a week-to-week recovery timeline after needing help off the ice during a game against the Philadelphia Flyers in January.
The 29-year-old had been skating frequently in hopes of returning for the Olympics and practiced individually on Thursday, according to The Athletic's Chris Johnston.
