The Toronto Blue Jays brought free-agent outfielder Kyle Tuckerto their facility in Dunedin, Florida, for a visit Wednesday, sources told FanSided's Robert Murray.
Tucker, who hails from nearby Tampa Bay, is expected to land a lucrative contract as arguably the top free-agent slugger available.
The 28-year-old left-handed hitter slashed .266/.377/.464 with 22 home runs, 73 RBIs, and 25 stolen bases in 136 games with the Chicago Cubs last season. It marked Tucker's fifth straight campaign posting at least 4.5 WAR and an OPS above .800. He played the first seven years of his career with the Houston Astros before getting traded to the Cubs last offseason.
